Further trip information

Day 1: Melbourne to Twelve Apostles
Heading out of Melbourne, we stop at the famous icons of the surf coast, first taking in Torquay, home to global surf brands such as Rip Curl and Quicksilver, followed by beautiful Bells Beach and action-packed Anglesea.  Next stop: take your time in the coastal towns of Apollo Bay and Lorne where you can spend your time swimming and exploring or simply relaxing and enjoying the view.

Lunch is at Otway National Park, followed by a leisurely walk through an ancient forest, where you can cool off in the lush landscape. For an extra cost, you can opt to try the Otway Fly Treetop Walk and skim through the treetops and see the forest from a birds-eye view.

After a day of amazing new experiences you can finish the day in style, watching the sun setting behind the iconic Twelve Apostles rock formation. For the truly adventurous, and at extra cost, you can take an optional helicopter flight over the Twelve Apostles and get an aerial view of the Great Ocean Road from above!  Overnight accommodation is in a hostel on the Great Ocean Road.  Lunch and dinner included.

Day 2: Great Ocean Road to Grampians National Park
Embark on a second day exploring the Great Ocean Road, seeing remarkable coastal scenery and highlights such as Loch Ard Gorge, the Bay of Martyrs and London Bridge. Stop for lunch and then head inland to visit the spectacular Grampians National Park for an afternoon of activities.

Hike to the foot of MacKenzie Falls and gaze over the views from The Balconies lookout point.  Later in the day you might spot some bouncing kangaroos or other wildlife as the sun sets over the Grampians National Park and you settle down in the heart of nature for a night in your Grampians-based hostel.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 3: Grampians National Park to Adelaide
Wake up to a morning of cultural exploration as you visit the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre and discover all about Australia’s rich cultural history.  There’s another opportunity to hike through the beautiful landscape of the Grampians. Fill up on some lunch at Mt. Arapiles, en route to Adelaide, then simply sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful panorama before arriving in Adelaide around 7.00pm.  Breakfast and lunch included.
