Travel Marketing Assistant

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role will incorporate a variety of tasks and responsibilities. You must be a self-starter who is able to work independently or as part of a team, and be confident to take ownership of tasks and complete them from start to finish. If you're looking for your first step into the exciting world of travel, this could be for you!
During the initial period of your role, you'll be mainly working as a product assistant understanding the trips we offer, getting to know our brand and its values, before transitioning to a full-time marketing role. Previous travel experiences overseas would be advantageous but are not essential, as long as you have a passion for adventure and travel! This role would suit a recent graduate.

The main duties will be:

  • Adding and maintaining trips on the website - including copy, images, videos, maps, prices, dates, and technical data
  • Liaising with suppliers over product changes, updates, training, and new product opportunities
  • Amend and improve written copy to fit the style and persona of a fun travel brand, as well as write your own pieces from scratch when needed
  • Website improvements such as SEO, new content pages, and technical issues
  • Coordinating outgoing and incoming mail including school promotions and advertising mail
  • Work on partnerships and affiliate schemes to find new marketing and revenue opportunities
  • Assisting with any other product and marketing tasks as assigned

The main strengths you'll need are:

  • Excellent attention to detail, especially when inputting data
  • Great computer competency, and an appetite for growing your technical skills
  • A sound ability to do basic to intermediate copywriting, from flashy marketing copy to more technical work like SEO
  • A basic understanding of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and how a website works (CMS, HTML, etc)
  • A keen interest in travel and youth trends

Gap 360 is the leading UK travel agency for 18 – 30’s. We sell gap years and adventure trips all over the world.

PHP Web Developer

We're looking for a full-stack developer to join the team to maintain our websites and the infrastructure that supports them. We are looking for someone who can confidently work independently across a wide range of technologies.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a PHP based development role
  • A high level of attention to detail and a flare for finding the best solution from a brief
  • Javascript, jQuery and Ajax
  • Working with pre-designed mockups and translating those to code (HTML, CSS)
