Day 1: Welcome to Sydney. Arrive in Sydney and take our airport shuttle to WakeUp, one of the best hostels in the city. You’ll meet your guide and the rest of the group for an orientation, before heading out on a guided city tour. Visit the Botanical Gardens, grab some fish and chips in Darling Harbour, and snap some selfies in front of the Sydney Opera House! Tonight, we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at our favourite party bar. 

Day 2: Sydney Harbour cruise. Explore Sydney’s famous harbour with a private catamaran cruise today! Swim in the bright blue ocean, discover hidden bays, and enjoy a classic Aussie BBQ lunch on deck. Then get ready for another night of drinks, dancing, and fun with your new mates.

Day 3: Bondi Beach. Head to Coogee where we’ll take on the Coogee to Bondi walk along Sydney’s spectacular coastline. Arrive in Bondi and check out the famous Bondi Graffiti Walls, grab a cold one, or just kick back on the sands and watch the beautiful people go by. We’ll head back to the city centre by train later in the day.

Day 4: Northern Beaches. We’ve got another day of sun, sea, and surf lined up today as we take the commuter ferry to Manly Beach. Spend the afternoon exploring the local markets, soak up the sun on the sands, or join our walk to Shelly Beach for some of Sydney’s best snorkelling.

Day 5: Blue Mountains. Leave the city behind today and journey to the Blue Mountains National Park. We’ll take a guided bushwalk along some of the park’s most beautiful trails, visiting waterfalls and stunning rock formations, and looking out for native wildlife like kangaroos. It’s a day you won’t forget in a hurry.

Day 6: Free day & Sydney bar crawl. Today’s yours to explore the city at your leisure. Wander around the historic Rocks, pick up some vintage clothes at Glebe Market, or discover some of the city’s world-class galleries. After dark we’ll take you on an awesome bar crawl, stopping at three of the city’s most popular pubs and backpacker bars.

Day 7: Final Day in the city. Have a chilled-out morning at the hostel after the shenanigans of last night Use your final free day to tick off the final bucket list sights of the city before planning your next adventures in Australia!

Day 8: Trip End.  It’s time to say your goodbyes to your friends and pack your bags. See you again next time!

Arrival information

Arrive in Sydney International Airport (SYD) and we’ll shuttle you directly to WakeUp Sydney hostel. Your group leader will meet you in the hostel reception at 11.30am. We’ve got lots of activities planned for today, so you may want to arrive a day early and pay for an additional night of pre-trip accommodation (speak to your travel advisor for more information). If you’re arriving on day 1, hostel check in isn’t until 3pm, but you can store your baggage at the hostel.

The trip ends in Sydney on the morning of day 8. Return airport transfers aren’t included so you’ll need to arrange your own onward transport, but your tour guide can help with booking this.

Accommodation

This trip includes 7 nights’ accommodation in WakeUp Sydney, an award-winning hostel with a fresh feel, friendly vibe, and a legendary onsite bar and nightclub. You’ll stay in 10-bed dorms. Twin and private rooms may be available at an additional cost - speak to your travel advisor for more information.

Meals

A welcome dinner and a BBQ lunch on a catamaran cruise are included. You’ll need to buy all other meals yourself. 

Minimum age & eligibility

You’ll need to be 18 – 35 years old to take part in this trip. All visitors to Australia (except those from New Zealand) will require a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter. These must be applied for before departure, and if you’re planning on working in Australia whilst you’re out there you’ll need a Working Holiday Visa. Your passport should be valid for the proposed duration of your stay.
