The country is recognised as one of the friendliest countries in the world for LGBTQIA+ travellers, and Toronto holds one of the largest Pride Month celebrations in the world.

Of course, for orange, it has to be Amsterdam! The Netherlands has long been a trailblazer in LGBTQIA+ rights, including being the first country to legalise same-sex marriage in 2001. The famous Canal Parade during Amsterdam Pride turns its historic waterways into a huge party! Get ready for oceans of orange (recognisable in any Dutch crowd), along with welcoming rainbows along the cobblestone streets. In 2026, WorldPride and EuroPride will be held in Amsterdam, celebrating 25 years since the first same-sex marriage in the city! 

Amsterdam is a dream for any traveller, with charming cafes and bike-friendly streets, and world-famous art such as the Van Gogh Museum. The city melts progressive values with old world charm - perfect!

Yellow trams climb the streets, and the sweet smell of pastel de nata fills the air. You won’t be able to miss Lisbon’s thriving LGBTQIA+ scene. The best places to experience Lisbon’s queer community are Bairro Alto and Principe Real, home to hotels centred around LGBTQIA+ travel, vibrant bars, and prominent art galleries such as Ze dos Bois. 

Lisbon is set to host EuroPride this year, featuring 59 unmissable events across 9 amazing locations in the capital city!

Blue - Mykonos, Greece πŸ’™ 🧿

Get ready for paradise! Think crystal, clear waters and lively DJ parties. Everywhere you turn, you’ll be welcomed with hues of blue, whether looking across the ocean or wandering the magical town. Mykonos is renowned for its LGBTQIA+ nightlife scene! Grab a cocktail at Super Paradise Beach Club or watch the sun go down from Skybar, offering picturesque views of the iconic windmills.

But the real highlight? Xlsior Festival! This is one of Europe’s biggest annual LGBTQIA+ festivals, welcoming 30,000 travellers to enjoy some of the most popular artists in the world. This year, you can dance the night away from 21st to 26th August 2025.

From its world-famous Mardi Gras festival in February to its lively Pride Festival in June, Sydney welcomes LGBTQIA+ travellers across the world looking to soak up the sunshine and live the dream in the iconic city. In 2025, the city hosts a month-long event in June to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. 

Sydney is home to some of the best sunsets in the world, and where better to soak up the atmosphere with a view than Bondi Beach? The sky puts on a show each evening, with hues of purple filling the sky! 

If you’re searching for an extra dose of rainbows, head out to the friendly suburbs of Darlinghurst and Surrey Hills. Hop over to Oxford Street for Sydney’s largest LGBTQIA+ nightlife venues, as well as welcoming cafes. The Bookshop Darlinghurst is a historic spot you can’t miss!

The famed Rainbow Road in Reykjavik embodies the country's progressive values and welcoming attitudes. Iceland has long been a front-runner of LGBTQIA+ rights and has hosted one of the world’s best Pride Parades in the capital since 1999. Attracting over 100,000 attendees (that’s nearly a third of Iceland’s entire population!), the event spans 10 memorable days. 

All travellers will fall in love with the land of ice and fire, exploring volcanoes, unwinding in thermal baths, and watching as the sky illuminates with the Northern Lights! You’ll feel like you’ve uncovered the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
