Cultural temples, adorable elephants, and paradise party islands - it's easy to see why travellers quickly fall in love with Southeast Asia! There are plenty of bucket list things to do, but you already know that. 1. Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia 🤩
On day 5 of our Southeast Asia Adventure, you’ll already have ticked off tons of unforgettable travel moments, including a magical sunrise over this ancient wonder of the world, Angkor Wat temple. 2. Koh Rong Sanloem Island, Cambodia 🐠
Next stop: the island of Koh Rong Sanloem. This stunning island is Cambodia’s best-kept secret! With endless opportunities for swimming, snorkelling and sunbathing, Koh Rong Sanloem is a paradise you’ll fall in love with on our Southeast Asia Adventure. Spend your day cruising through unbelievably clear waters and snorkelling its colourful coral reefs. 3. Hoi An, Vietnam🏮
Time to tick off your third country – you guessed it, Vietnam! Arrive in the enchanting city of Hoi An on day 15 of Southeast Asia Adventure to roam around its bright yellow architecture, vibrant lantern-lit alleyways and fairytale-like canals. The list of bucket list activities here is endless, opt to relax on its gorgeous beaches, take a trip through a coconut forest on a traditional Vietnamese basket boat, handcraft your own lanterns or indulge in some of Vietnam’s best street food. Their local dish, Cao Lau (thick rice noodles with barbecued pork or veg), is a must-try!
4. Ha Giang Loop, Vietnam ⛰️
Yep, you’ve likely heard of this place! This popular backpacker destination has become famous across Instagram and TikTok. If you’ve seen reels of travellers driving through lush green landscapes, valleys, and villages in open-air jeeps while waving the Vietnamese flag, chances are it's the Ha Giang Loop. Along the way, you can stop at breathtaking viewpoints such as Ma Pi Leng Pass or get your hiking boots on, and follow the Sky Path which overlooks the winding roads through the mountains. It might just be the best experience you’ll have in Southeast Asia - that’s why we’ve added it to our new Southeast Asia Adventure itinerary!
5. Vang Vieng, Laos ☀️
Now, on to Laos! Discover Vang Vieng, often called the ‘adventure capital of Laos’. On Southeast Asia Adventure you can go rock climbing on the cliffs, kayaking with your new mates, or go tubing down the river for a laugh. After a day packed with action, you can chill out in one of the trendy riverside bars or take a dip in the famous blue lagoons to watch the sunset!
6. Kuang Si Falls, Luang Prabang, Laos 💦
Anyone who’s been to Laos will tell you how beautiful the waterfalls are! We’re not kidding, Kuang Si Falls is our favourite on our Southeast Asia Adventure group trip! This cascading natural beauty, nestled between bamboo and lush forestry, is seriously a hidden gem. Plunge into the freshwater, hike through it’s surrounding forest and make sure to take lots of pictures to capture the memories you’ll make here with your new friends.
7. Chiang Mai, Thailand 🐘
Let’s be honest, if you’re heading to Chiang Mai, it’s probably to see the adorable Thai elephants! How could these lovable mammals not be at the top of every backpacker’s Thailand bucket list? 8. White Temples, Chiang Rai, Thailand 💀
