Our special stays have been chosen for their unique locations and authenticity, giving you a real flavour of both modern and traditional Morocco.

Rooms are on a twin or triple basis. If you would like to guarantee a room together or book a single room, upgrades may be available on request. Let us know if you’re travelling with a partner or friend and we can make sure you’re placed together.

Meals
10 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 10 dinners are included on this trip. Please let us know in advance if you have any dietary requirements.

Day 1: Welcome to Morocco. Touchdown in magical Morocco and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime! We’ll meet you at the airport and transfer you to our stunning riad in the heart of the old city. Make sure you arrive before 5pm as you do not want to miss out on this evening, meet your group and head to the legendary Jemaa el Fna for dinner in a traditional restaurant.

Day 2: Marrakesh Medina. Today starts with a visit to Jemaa El Fna Square with its snake-charmers, storytellers, and fruit stalls, followed by the stunning Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Ben Youssef Madrassa. As well as the big attractions we’ll stop at some hidden gems, including a local bakery, a traditional furnace, and a caravanserai.

Day 3: Kasbahs & Mountains. Head into the High Atlas Mountains today. Our first stop is Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular fortified village dating back to the 17th Century. Wander through the ancient Kasbah, checking out its Game of Thrones film sets, snapping some selfies and enjoying some lunch before hopping back on the bus to Dades Valley. Drinks anybody?

Day 4: Gorges & desert camp. We’re heading into the Sahara today with a few stops along the way, including the quirky ‘Monkey Toes’ rock formation and the Todra Valley, and its famous gorge. Then get ready for a seriously special experience as we take a sunset camel ride to our desert camp. Spend the evening round the campfire dining to the soundtrack of live Berber music.

Day 5: Desert day. Rise early for sunrise over the dunes and a meditation session. Then we’re heading deeper into the desert on a 4WD adventure. We’ll check out a fascinating fossil area, meet some nomadic families, and visit the ghostly Mifiss Mines. This afternoon we’ll have some lunch then hit the dunes on an epic sunset sandboarding sesh.

Day 6: Markets & picnics. After breakfast head to Rissani Market, one of the most vibrant souks in the region. Check out the colourful stalls and get your haggle on for some unique souvenirs. We’ll share a picnic lunch in the shade of some acacia trees, before travelling to historic Ouarzazate, where we’ll stay the night.

Day 7: Movie tour & Imlil homestay. We’re taking a tour of Atlas Studios today, filming location for many famous films, such as the Mummy, Gladiator, and The Hills Have Eyes! Then we’ll head to the peaceful mountain village of Imlil in the High Atlas, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional homestay with incredible views of Mt. Toubkal.

Day 8: Waterfall hike & cooking class. We’ll begin today with a scenic trek to the Imlil waterfalls before heading back to the village to explore. We’ll wander through the local market and then get stuck into a cooking class with a local family who’ll show us how to make a delicious tagine and couscous before heading Essaouria.

Day 9: Essaouira. Head to the coastal town of Essaouira today. Our first stop is the old town where we’ll check out the fishing port and the medina. Pick up some souvenirs and treat yourself to a seafood lunch before a surf lesson in one of the best surf spots in the country. Freshen up back at our lovely riad before a group dinner at one of the town’s famed rooftop restaurants.

Day 10: Back to Marrakesh. We’ve got the morning to enjoy a last bit of seaside fun in Essaouira before travelling back to Marrakesh, where the adventure began. Enjoy lunch in an amazing not-for-profit restaurant before exploring at your own pace. There’s one last magical night on the cards in Morocco’s most famous city, including dinner with the gang.

Day 11: Trip end. Say your goodbyes before taking your arranged transfer to the airport. Safe travels and see you next time!
