Further trip information

Day 1: Arrive in Bangkok. Sawasdee-ka and welcome to beautiful Thailand. One of our local team will meet you at Bangkok airport and transfer you to our 4-star hotel in the heart of the city. Take a dip in the pool, then meet the rest of your group and hit Khao San Road for a Singha or two!

Day 2: Bangkok river and tuk tuk tour. Take a tour of the Chao Phraya River on a traditional long-tail boat, stopping to explore Wat Pho, and towering Wat Arun. Then enjoy a classic Bangkok experience as you whizz through the bustling streets in a tuk tuk before another night with the gang.

Day 3: Bangkok cooking class & night train to Khao Sok. Learn how to make some classic Thai dishes at an authentic cooking class today, before tucking into your tasty creations – yum! Tonight, hop on an overnight train to southern Thailand. Next stop: Khao Sok National Park!

Day 4: Khao Sok floating bungalows. Khao Sok is an off-the-beaten-track gem. Pinch yourself to check you’re not dreaming as you arrive at your floating bungalow on a sparkling lake! Spend the afternoon kayaking and tubing before bedding down with the sounds of the jungle as your lullaby.

Day 5: Khao Sok tree house. Make like the monkeys and head deeper into the rainforest to a jungle treehouse today! Stop at a sustainable family farm to find out about local life, as well as a turquoise river, where we’ll have a dip or go tubing before arriving in our dreamy treehouse home!

Day 6: Khao Sok to Koh Phangan. Head to the paradise island of Koh Phangan, where we’re staying in deluxe bungalows, right on the beach! Cool off in the infinity pool, break a sweat in the gym, or hit the yoga hall. Tonight, we’ll be checking out the island’s famous nightlife.

Day 7: Koh Phangan island tour. We’ve got a special day lined up as we take a boat trip round Koh Phangan’s epic coastline. Swim in secluded bays, snorkel over colourful coral reefs and walk along untouched stretches of sand. Hit the beach bars for sundowners after the most amazing day!

Day 8: Muay Thai or yoga class. We’re getting active today with a choice of a high-energy Muay Thai class or a laid-back yoga session. The rest of the day is yours to kick back in paradise.

Day 9: Koh Phangan to Koh Phi Phi. Another day, another dreamy tropical island! We’re swapping Phangan for beautiful Phi Phi today, staying in a gorgeous premium resort close to the beach. Cool off in the pool, hit the sands, or treat yourself to a Thai massage – you’re worth it!

Day 10: Phi Phi boat trip. Channel your inner James Bond today and head out on a private speedboat! Explore the breath-taking island of Phi Phi Le, snorkelling and swimming in the azure sea and visiting the unforgettable Maya Bay. Then freshen up ahead of a night in the beachfront bars.

Please note: There is a possibility we may not be able to enter Maya Bay at certain times of year due to Government closures.

Day 11: Phi Phi hike & ferry to Phuket. Head up to the famous Phi Phi viewpoint this morning to see the jaw-dropping island from above. Then board the ferry to Phuket and check into the boutique 4-star hotel that will be your home for the next two nights - rooftop pool here we come!

Day 12: Phuket elephant sanctuary. End the trip on a high, with a visit to an elephant sanctuary. They say an elephant never forgets and you certainly won’t forget meeting these majestic animals! It’s our last night together (sniff sniff!) so get together with the gang over a farewell dinner.

Day 13: Trip end. Your epic adventure comes to an end today. Pack your bags, swap details with your new mates, and either head for the airport or continue your travels in Thailand.

Covid safety

This trip is designed with your safety and wellbeing in mind. As a result of Covid-19, many of our suppliers and partners around the world are introducing new policies and procedures surrounding health and safety in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. As the state of travel is evolving these new safety measures will adapt over time, and will be different for each trip. Here are some of the changes you may see on your trip:

Arrival safety meetings
Most trips have an arrival meeting on the first day where the guide or local team will run through the trip, the safety protocols, and to answer any questions you may have. Now more than ever it is important you arrive in time for these meetings.

Proof of vaccination or negative covid test
For the safety of all travellers, at the start of some trips you may be required to show evidence that you are fully vaccinated (14 days after your second dose) and/or show evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the tour start date in order to join the programme.

Updated hygiene and safety procedures
Our suppliers and partners have health and safety procedures in place on all of our trips. These protocols will be updated and adapted as a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, dependent on local restrictions and laws.

Transport and accommodation choices
Our suppliers and partners choose the accommodation and transport on our trips very carefully, and you may see a change to what would normally be used as a response to the outbreak. This may involve such changes as enhanced use of private transport or quieter accommodation.

Trained and knowledgeable staff
Our staff in the UK are trained to help you with your trip before you depart and answer any questions you may have. In addition, the local team and guides on our trips are there to help with any health and safety concerns and to ensure our trips run safely and smoothly.

Reduced group sizes
Some trips will run with reduced group sizes to start with. You may find that trips are more intimate and chilled, whilst still being packed with fun and adventure.

Your guide or the local team will be on hand to help you seek medical attention should you require it during your trip. As medical facilities and standards can vary around the world, you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place before you depart to cover you for any medical emergencies.

24/7 emergency support
We operate an emergency phone line for our travellers abroad. This is operated by a UK based member of staff 24/7 if you have a genuine emergency or urgent matter that you need attending.

It is important that you take measures to make travelling safer for yourself and others around you. Ensure you frequently wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze and cough, bring and use your own hand sanitiser and facial coverings/masks, and enable social distancing where necessary. You should also ensure you listen to the instructions and guidance of the local team at all times, and follow all local laws and restrictions.
