Option 1: 5-day learn to surf programme

Option 2: 7-day learn to surf programme - includes 2 nights in laid-back Byron Bay

Day 1, Monday: Depart Sydney and travel north by bus to the legendary Spot X surf camp. Depending on conditions, you might stop for your first surf en route. Check in and chill out with your new surf buddies around the campfire, before your first surf lesson, which will take place in the afternoon. Please note: You'll have an early pickup for this trip and will need to be at the bus pickup/ meeting point before departure at 6.45a.m. (Lunch OR dinner included today).

Days 2-4, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: You will spend the next three days learning how to surf, enjoying two surf sessions a day: A morning lesson with the expert pro surf instructors and an afternoon expression session. Expression sessions allow you to celebrate the beach and surf lifestyle with boards, music and beach activities with your guides and instructors. It's a great opportunity to kick back and build up your surf skills. Instructors cater for all levels, even absolute beginners, and will have you riding a wave in no time. Enjoy loads of fun activities on offer around the camp and tuck in to three delicious inclusive meals a day, while at night you can enjoy a drink around the campfire, join in games or rest up and conserve your energy to hit the waves again in the morning! (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Day 5, Friday: You'll have one surf lesson in the morning, hang out for a final afternoon at surf camp and then arrive in Byron Bay around 9pm. This is when option 1, the 5-day trip officially ends, but most people choose to meet up in the evening for food and a party. Accommodation, dinner and drinks on this night are not included for option 1 participants, but the surf school can book accommodation in Byron if you need it. If you have chosen option 2, the 7-day option, you will now enjoy two extra days in Byron Bay and will spend tonight in unique tipi accommodation at the surf camp in Byron Bay. (Breakfast and lunch included for option 1, plus dinner for option 2)

Day 6, Saturday (option 2 only): Surfers on option 2 will have one inclusive surf lesson in Byron Bay today, plus a chance to relax and explore the laid-back town of Byron Bay - bliss! (Breakfast and dinner included)

Day 7, Sunday (option 2 only): If you have chosen option 2, you will have one final exciting surf lesson on Byron Bay's beautiful beaches before your trip ends. (Breakfast included)
