What's Not Included

Welcome to Belluno, a stunning Alpine town and your base before we're mountain-bound. Rumours say it's the 'Mountain Venice' - but we'll let you be the judge. Meet your new hiking group tonight before we grab dinner at a local spot. We're just beginning.

First up is Zoldo Valley, where pine forested trails lead up to the astonishing heights of Mount Pelmo. Our trek today is around 6km long, with a 700m elevation gain to reach Rifugio Venezia. As for tonight? Enjoy our first rifugio stay: traditional huts made for slow evenings of log fires, hot meals and competitive card games with your new friends.

Go deeper into the Zoldo Valley, as an epic wall of rocky terrain unfolds before your eyes. Mount Civetta makes a big impression! Refuel with lunch at a meadow hut, featuring fresh and local ingredients. Today's 12km trek gains a 700m elevation, and every metre is worth it. Have energy to spare? Optionally explore Lake Coldai for sunset.

Next up, it's Civetta Valley. Climb along the hilltops, soaking in the stretches of woodland and cliffs that kiss the sky. Refuel at Rifugio Tissi, with front-row views of Mont Civetta. A 10km hike awaits, with 400m uphill. And the grand finale? A sunset unlike anywhere else on the planet... As those iconic silver peaks glow in pure shades of pink and orange. Now that's why they call it 'Enrosadira.'

By now, you and your hiking crew have asked yourselves, "Should I move here?" about 100 times. Cross into the wild valleys of Moiazza mountain, as birdsong fills the air. Conquer another 10km hike, gaining an extra 600m. Tonight's rifugio has one of our personal favourite views; it overlooks the Agordo Valley. Bonus hike: the Framont detour is optional, but completely jaw-dropping.

Welcome to the Dolomites' only national park! This is a mountain paradise, as blooming meadows lead into turquoise lakes, rock walls and pine forests. Soak in the untouched scenery, then cover 12km (600m climb) with our hike to Rifugio Pramperet. We've now officially reached the highest point (2,400m) on our trail! And we're totally off-grid here, so it's perfect for stargazing.

It's all downhill from here... Literally, with a gentle 1,000m drop as we climb through forests and meadows. Think of it as your legs' reward for all that hard work. One final 10km stretch, before we roll into a charming village called Forno di Zoldo. The gelato here is famous, so obviously we're celebrating with a scoop (or sundae). Alta Via I Trail? Complete!

Remember that time we went hiking in the Dolomites? Pack your bags, hug your friends goodbye, and start daydreaming about your next adventure... See you soon!
