Further trip information

Day 1-2: Buenos Aires. Arrive at any time. Free time to explore this buzzing city.

Day 3-5: Colonia/Montevideo.  Cross the Rio de la Plata by ferry to Colonia, Uruguay then on to Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo. Free time to explore both locations. 

Day 6-8: Estancia/ranch stay. Authentic rural ranch stay.  Overnight bus to Argentine border on day 8.

Day 9-10: Iguassu Falls.  Explore the Argentine side of these incredible falls. Optional boat ride. 

Day 11-12: Paraty.  Fly to Sao Paulo then travel along the coast to Paraty.  Free beach time.  Optional cachaça distillery visit or boat tour of the bay.

Day 13-15: Ilha Grande.  Free time to explore this unspoilt island, relax on the beach, or take an optional boat tour.

Day 16-17: Rio de Janeiro.  Free time to explore Rio from your Copacabana base. Depart from Rio de Janeiro on day 17 when your tour ends.

Please note: For 2018 departures, you will travel to Rio de Janeiro on day 15, giving you the rest of the day as well as all of day 16 to explore the city. You can still depart at any time on day 17.
