Day 1: Start in Nashville (Tennessee)
Howdy! Our adventure begins this evening, as you meet your trip leader and new mates for the first time. Tonight is all yours to chill out and get your first taste of Nashville's local restaurants and nightlife.
Day 2: Nashville
Nicknamed the 'Music City' of America, today's all about finding your own rhythm in Nashville. Optional activities include the Country Music Hall of Fame and Ryman Auditorium. When the sun sets, the honky tonk bars of Broadway Street are calling our name.
Day 3: Nashville to Memphis
Our adventure continues today to the birthplace of rock n' roll! Today we'll go walking in Memphis (IYKYK) and stop outside Sun Studios, where music icons like Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and B.B. King recorded their major records. Enjoy a free afternoon to learn more about Memphis' civil rights history or take some optional music-themed tours. No trip to Memphis is complete without exploring Beale Street... so we'll do you one better with a group dinner planned in the heart of it at the Blues City Cafe!
Day 4: Memphis to New Orleans (Louisiana)
Get your playlist and snacks ready as we hit the road, ticking another state off our USA travel list! Next up is New Orleans, the kind of magical city that you fall in love with at first sight. Expect stunning architecture and southern jazz as we explore the French Quarter, with a stop planned for some sugary beignets (New Orleans-style donuts). The good times just keep on rolling as we head to Bourbon Street for an incredible night out!
Day 5: New Orleans
This is your free day to explore New Orleans at your own pace. Listen to live bands, do some vintage shopping, or take a street car out to the Garden District for a change of scenery. Optional activities today include an airboat ride on the swamp outside the city. Then how about another night out in New Orleans?
Day 6: NASA Space Center (Texas)
New day, new state! Our adventure continues today to Houston, the biggest city in Texas, where NASA's Johnson Space Center awaits. Living history is being made here, from training up future astronauts to Mission Control, which has commanded and overseen every U.S. human spaceflight for over 60 years. You know how it goes, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind!"
Day 7: Fort Worth Stockyards
Ready for the Wild West? Today we're heading to the historic Fort Worth in the heart of Texas. Get ready to experience Cowboy culture in all its glory, from saloon bars to the daily cattle drives. After watching the sunset, we'll head to a local restaurant and indulge in one of Texas' tastiest traditions, Southern BBQ!
Day 8: Dallas
We'll begin the day exploring the famous sights of Dallas, including the Arts District, Dealey Plaza and Reunion Tower. From here, choose your adventures. How about touring the stadium home to the Dallas Cowboys, or picking up a pair of custom Cowboy boots? Then it's our final evening together, so let's go all out and celebrate the memories we've made together!
Day 9: Finish trip in Fort Worth
Our trip ends today after breakfast and travellers are welcome to leave at any time. For assistance in organising airport transfers, your trip leader can help you with this.
