Day 1: Delhi - Meet your travel guide this evening for a pre-departure briefing after touching down in incredible India. See the hustle and bustle of Delhi from your hostel rooftop, then take an overnight train to Varanasi.
Day 2-3: Varanasi - Visit the Sarnath Buddhist and Hindu archaeological site or lose yourself in the charming old town. Go cruising along Varanasi’s iconic Ghats and see the sunset behind a Ganga Aarti ceremony.
Day 4-5: Agra - Spend some free days seeing the ruins of the famous Black Taj foundations and the spectacular Agra Fort. Head to an Indian village and watch a traditional show, whilst enjoying the culture. Be stunned as you watch the sun rise over the iconic Taj Mahal.
Day 6-7: Jaipur - Visit the historical sites of Nahargarh Fort and the Amber Fort in wonderful Jaipur. Immerse yourself in the magical Pink City and enjoy a private guided tour. Opt to visit the local Monkey Temple or participate in an Indian art class.
Day 8-9: Jaisalmer - Venture out through the desert on the back of a camel across sparkling sand dunes as you make your way to a local village. Eat dinner by the campfire and sleep under the shining stars. Head back to the city after watching the sunrise across the desert.
Day 10: Johdpur – Opt to experience the rush of adrenaline on this free day in the Blue City as you zip-wire over the incredible Mehrangarh Fort. Or why not brush up on your Krishna cooking skills? Then head out for a Blue City tour where you will stop by the Toorji Step Well.
Day 11-12: Udaipur - See the sights of the romantic Old City and the City Palace of fairy-tale like Udaipur. Then enjoy a sunset boat cruise over the beautiful Lake Pichola before helping the animals at Animal Aid or joining in on a brilliant musical instrument class.
Day 13: Mumbai - The overnight train continues it's journey until you arrive into Mumbai at 2pm today.Take one last glimpse at incredible India before departing any time after 7:30pm on day 13 or the following day.

Arrive into New Delhi Airport on Day 1 of the trip with plenty of time for the evening pre-departure meeting. We strongly recommend arriving in the morning as you will be taking an overnight train that night.
Your trip finishes on day 13 in Mumbai. Your train is scheduled to arrive around 2pm. We recommend flying out after 7:30pm on day 13 or the following day. The local team can assist you in arranging an extra night locally if needed. Airport transfers are not included, but easy to arrange.
If you are arranging your own transfer we recommend you only use the prepaid taxi service offered by the Delhi Traffic Police at the airport, located at a designated counter outside the baggage-claim area. You pay your fare in advance at the counter, which should be between INR200-300 (approx £3). Only give your driver the payment slip when you reach your destination and don’t add any payment, other than a small optional tip.
You will be staying in a variety of hostels during your trip in a mixture of single sex or mixed sex dorms of up to 10 people. Some nights will be on overnight trains.
No meals are included on this trip. Your personal travel advisor can recommend a food budget for you, and your tour guide will be able to recommend brilliant local restaurants and eateries whilst you’re away to make the most of the world-famous Indian cuisine.
The minimum age for this trip is 18 years old and is open to all young-at-heart backpackers and adventurers. All foreign nationals require a visa which must be obtained before travel in order to enter India.
