What's Not Included

Let the adventure begin! Drop your bags and head straight to the pool, drinks in hand. We're firing things up tonight with a classic Aussie BBQ (have you really been to Australia without one?). Get to know your new travel mates over some delicious food, chaotic games, and partying under the stars.

We'll get all your working holiday essentials organised this morning. The rest of today is yours to discover Darwin's stunning coast, grab brunch with your future besties, or recover from last night by the pool... Whatever takes your fancy!

Picture this: you, gliding on the back of a jet ski along the bright blue ocean. Feel the sea breeze and tropical sunshine as we race across the waters, each twist promising insane views of Darwin Harbour.

Make the most of your time in Darwin with another day of exploring this laid-back tropical city. This evening, head to the famous Mindil Beach Sunset Markets, where you can sample incredible street food, browse local stalls, enjoy live music, and watch a spectacular sunset over the ocean. The perfect way to end the day!

Darwin has more natural beauty than most cities could ever dream of, and it doesn't end there. Just two hours outside is the unspoilt paradise that is Litchfield National Park. Chase waterfalls, hike jungle trails, cool off in crystal-clear pools, and finish off with a group picnic. We're living the dream!

What's Australia most famous for? The wildlife of course! Get ready for an epic day out at Crocosaurus Cove, where you can spot these giant beasts swimming around in the waters. If you're feeling brave, you can even go face-to-face! Chat over lunch, then we'll finish today off with fish-feeding at Doctor Gully's (aka a Darwin classic!

It's the end of one adventure, and the start of your next big one! Maybe you're staying on and starting your job search straight away. Or maybe you fancy more travel. Either way, your group leader is here to help you figure out your next steps.

Please note activities and itineraries are subject to change.

Accommodation

You will receive 6 nights of dorm-share hostel accommodation during your first week. This is an awesome opportunity to bond with your group, as well as meet other backpackers who are doing working holidays or travelling around Australia.

Many travellers choose to rent an apartment together after that first week, or stay at hostels whilst searching for accommodation. Some hostels offer more affordable rates for longer-term stays.

Got questions about what it’s like to do an Aussie working holiday? Our friendly travel experts are happy to help and answer everything you’d like to know.

Meals

7 breakfasts and 1 lunch are included. Your group leader has got you covered with the best local recommendations for where to eat, drink and party during your free time.

Famously closer to Bali than Sydney, Darwin’s food scene is hugely diverse. Enjoy loads of different Asian cuisines, alongside fresh seafood, tropical fruits, bush foods, and so much more.

If you have any dietary requirements, please let us know upon booking.

Second and Third Year Visas

Due to the free trade agreement between the UK and Australia, British citizens can apply for up to 3 working holiday visas without the need to do rural/farm work to be eligible. This allows British citizens to stay in Australia for up to 3 years in total. Each visa is granted separately and is valid for 1 year. Second and third year visas can be done consecutively, but they don't need to be. As long as you meet the standard age and eligibility requirements you can apply at any time, either from Australia or abroad. We can help you apply for the first year visa, but you will need to apply directly for any second or third year visas yourself once you have started your first year visa in Australia.

For more information, check out our Ultimate Guide to the Working Holiday Visa Australia.

Visa rules and regulations are subject to change. Please check the relevant embassy websites for up to date information.
