Relax on beautiful beaches and explore idyllic islands around the colonial town of Paraty, be awed by the thundering water of epic Iguassu Falls, relax in unspoilt Bonito and go on a unique 2-day wildlife excursion into the picturesque Pantanal wetlands. Day 1: Rio de Janeiro
Welcome to Rio! Arrive in Brazil’s brilliant beach city at any time today. There are no set activities planned so you can enjoy some free time soaking up the sunshine and sights of this amazing city. You will meet your group and guide at a welcome meeting at your hotel around 5pm
Day 2: Rio to Ilha Grande
Head out on the bus to Ilha Grande today along the Altantic coast. This chilled out island has pristine beaches to explore or you can use your free time to hikes in the area
Day 3: Ilha Grande
Enjoy nature on this car-free island with a free day. There is lots of optional activities available including guided walks and snorkelling.
Day 4: Ilha Grande to Paraty
Head further along the coast to Paraty – a colourful colonial beach town with winding cobbled streets.
Day 5-6: Paraty
Paraty is the perfect place to get away from it all! Paraty’s bay bursts with beautiful beaches and over 65 tropical islands. You will have 2 free days here to explore so why not try optional activities: Go on a jeep tour, visit a Cachaça distillery, take a boat tour, hike, dive, swim or snorkel or enjoy a horseback ride.
Day 7-8: Paraty to Foz do Iguacu
Hop on board a flight bound for the incredible Iguassu Falls. You will spend two days at this awesome site and get to view the falls from both the Brazilian and Argentine side. Take an optional boat or helicopter ride or just be awed by the power of the falling water!
Day 9: Iguassu Falls/Bonito
An early start sees you say farewell to thundering Iguassu Falls and hop on a long ride by local bus (10-12hrs) to your next Brazil destination, beautiful Bonito.
Days 10-11: Bonito
Bonito in Western Brazil means “beautiful” and this idyllic spot is the perfect place to relax and soak up the wonders of nature. Relax by the river and catch a glimpse of colourful fish, go exploring in underwater caves, see gorgeous waterfalls, go rafting or try some snorkelling in this unspoilt jungle and river area.
Day 12-13: Pantanal
A 5-hour local bus ride takes you to the breathtaking Pantanal wetlands area, one of South America’s best wildlife-spotting locations. Enjoy a 2-day wildlife excursion into this incredible region. Expert some off-road travel and rustic accommodation as you explore and spot wildlife off the beaten track! You can even join an optional horseback ride to explore more of this gorgeous region (USD15).
Day 14: Pantanal/Rio de Janeiro
Drive out of the picturesque Pantanal region to Campo Grande, where you will hop on an inclusive, internal flight back to the bright lights of Rio. On certain flights there may be a short stop off in San Paulo. Enjoy a final night relaxing with your friends in your Copacabana hostel or head out and make the most of the Rio nightlife!
Day 15: Rio de Janeiro
Your adventure tour ends today in Rio and you are free to depart at any time. Say goodbye to your guide and your new-found travelling friends and look back on 13 unforgettable days and some amazing memories of the wonders of Brazil!

This adventure starts and ends in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
You should arrange your arrival into Galeao International Airport in Brazil, which is a 30 to 45 minute drive from your accommodation in Copacabana, Rio. An airport transfer is not included but we recommend you visit one of the taxi stands at the airport and pay a set rate for a taxi to your hotel in Copacabana (approximately USD50).
Alternatively you can take the airport bus (approx USD9) into the Copacabana area and then hail an official yellow taxi to take you the rest of the way to your hotel (approx USD5).

14 nights of accommodation are included on this Wonders of Brazil tour. This will be mainly in twin or multi-share accommodation.
11 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners are also included on this tour. Please allow USD655-855 for meals not included.
The minimum age to join this trip is 18. This fantastic trip is an open-aged experience that caters for a mix of younger and older travellers. This means that you may travel with people who are outside your own age group. Such a mix of ages creates a great group dynamic and enhances the travel experience, as you get to know a range of people with different stories to tell!
All countries require a valid passport (with a minimum 6 months validity). This trip crosses the border between Brazil and Argentina on day 7 of this tour. British nationals do not currently need a visa to enter Brazil or Argentina, but please check current visa information with the relevant embassy before you travel.
