Labourer fencing & yard building

Small family owned rural fencing and stock yard building business needs a labourer, to help build steel and barbed wire fences and stock (cattle) yards on rural and remote cattle stations in the north west area of Queensland. The successful applicant needs to have a moderate level of fitness, as there is some heavy lifting and a lot of walking in the job. You must also be easy to get along with, be able to work alone or as part of a small team. Honesty and reliability are a must.

Experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be done on the job. We are very particular about the quality of work we produce so precise measurements when cutting post, rails etc is a must. Experience using power tools, measuring to the exact mm, or a construction/building background would be desirable.

We work on various cattle stations in North West Queensland. These stations are remote, sometime hundreds of kilometers from the nearest town. There is a very limited amount of phone coverage where we work. As the stations are a long way from town we live on site in a camp situation. You have your own room with airconditioner TV and fridge. All your meals are supplied, we have an excellent cook who serves a wide and varied menu. You are not charged for your accommodation or meals. Your laundry is done for you daily also and your room cleaned weekly.

We work a 9.5hr day. We work seven days a week, for long periods of time. We do have days off now and then to attend local events. If you are interested in the real Australian outback and have a love of the great outdoors this is the job for you.

This is a great way to see the real Australian outback, while receiving above the award wages with excellent living conditions.

A MANUAL drivers licence is a MUST. It must be a full open Licence.

We are only looking to fill one position.

I can sign off on your second year visa also.
