See the sights of the USA in 7 days, from the bright lights of New York City, the Big Apple, to the Southern Mardi Gras city of New Orleans!

Day 1: New York City: Touch down in the Big Apple! Make the most of any free time: Visit the famous Empire State Building, see the iconic Statue of Liberty, head to buzzing Times Square or relax in Central Park. You are free to arrive at any time. There will be a welcome meeting at 7pm where you will meet the rest of your group and your guide.

Day 2: New York City/Washington DC (1D): Your guide will take you on an orientation walk and then enjoy free time in NYC. Why not visit Staten Island, explore Chinatown or see Ground Zero? At midday you’ll make tracks for Washington DC, arriving in time for an unforgettable moonlight tour of the city’s monuments and memorials.

Day 3: Washington DC (1B): Spend a full day discovering all the wonders of Washington today as you enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. Visit the White House, marvel at the George Washington Monument, see the Lincoln Memorial or explore all the monuments and museums around the National Mall.

Day 4: Washington DC/Appalachia (1B, 1L, 1D): Your first stop today is the awe-inspiring Arlington Cemetery in Virginia. Travel through the stunning landscape of Shenandoah National Park, stop off and take a short hike, surrounded by amazing mountain scenery! End your day in the gorgeous Appalachian Mountain area.

Day 5: Appalachia/Nashville (1B, 1L): After a day on the road you’ll roll in to the country music capital of the world, Nashville! Head out to make the most of the local music scene and experience the city by night. Option to visit a local Cowboy Bar (extra cost of USD20). Party the night away in Nashville!

Day 6: Nashville/Memphis (1B, 1L): Travel on to Memphis. Option to visit Elvis Presley’s home, Graceland, to see how the legend lived (extra cost of USD36-77). Or visit the fascinating National Civil Rights Museum or the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum (extra cost). In the evening, enjoy Memphis’s amazing music scene!

Day 7: Memphis/New Orleans (1B, 1L): Drive from Memphis to New Orleans, the home of Mardi Gras! Go on a night out with your group; head for the famous French Quarter, listen to jazz and party in Bourbon Street for the ultimate New Orleans buzz! Your exciting US road trip ends today in New Orleans. We strongly recommend booking an extra night of accommodation for this evening.
