Day 1: Montego Bay. Welcome to Jamaica! Arrive into the airport at any time and make your own way to your accommodation. Settle in and freshen up after your flight before meeting the rest of your group at an evening welcome meeting. Enjoy your first night in Jamaica!

Day 2: Montego Bay/Ocho Rios. Wake up to your first full day in Jamaica! Leave Montego behind and travel to Ocho Rios. Learn about the important history of the Maroon people and watch traditional dancing, drumming and storytelling during a homestay experience. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 3: Ocho Rios/Kingston. Wake up with your hosts and bathe in a nearby river before helping to prepare breakfast. Later, you’ll travel to Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. Nestled between the dramatic Blue Mountains and the Caribbean Sea, Kingston is a lively city of culture and feel-good vibes. Tonight, hit the reggae bars and enjoy a few beers with your group. Breakfast included.

Day 4: Kingston/Treasure Beach. Hit the road today as you travel to laid-back Treasure Beach. This area is the epitome of the Jamaican spirit – chilled out locals, perfect scenery and mellow lifestyle. 

Day 5: Treasure Beach. Enjoy another day exploring this coastal paradise. Spend the day lazing on the beach or get involved with a range of exciting optional activities. Opt to join a safari tour of the Black River, Jamaica’s longest river, or check out the Pelican Bar, a unique drinks lounge made of driftwood and thatch that sits on a sand bar a mile from the mainland! Breakfast included.

Day 6: Treasure Beach/Negril. Leave Treasure Beach behind and journey on to Negril, famous for its stunning white-sand beach and laid-back lifestyle. In Negril, visit Ricks Café, a buzzing bar right on the waterfront. The rest of your day is free to soak up the gorgeous surroundings of this exquisite area. Breakfast included.

Day 7: Negril. Enjoy a full free day in Negril. Discover the endless bliss of Seven Mile Beach, soar into the skies with some optional parasailing, or leap from the cliffs at Rick’s Café into the cool turquoise waters below

Day 8: Negril/Montego Bay. Travel to Montego Bay where your tour ends. You can either depart straight away or join an optional visit to a Rastafarian Village. Here you’ll learn some drumming skills, enjoy a tasty vegetarian lunch and learn about the fruits, vegetables and medicinal plants that grow in the area.

Arrival information

Arrive into Sir Donald Sangster International Airport on Day 1. An arrival transfer is not included. Your accommodation in Montego Bay is approximately 15 minutes from the airport. A taxi will cost approximately USD20.

Please note, we can also arrange a airport transfer for you when you arrive. Please contact a Travel Advisor for more information.

Your tour ends back in Montego Bay on day 8. You can either depart on this day or spend some more independent travel time in Jamaica. If you do wish to depart on day 8, please do not book a flight that departs before 2pm.

Accommodation & meals

7 nights of a mixture of twin and multi-share accommodation are included on this tour.

7 breakfasts and 1 dinner are included. You will need to purchase the rest of your meals yourself. This is an excellent opportunity to sample some delicious local cuisine! Try tasty jerk chicken, saltfish, dumplings and rice dishes, and get to know the locals who prepare and serve your meals! Please allow USD210-275 for extra meals.

Minimum age & eligibility

The minimum age to join this group tour is 18. This fantastic trip is an open-aged experience that caters for a mix of younger and older travellers. This means that you may travel with people who are outside your own age group. Such a mix of ages creates a great group dynamic and enhances the travel experience, as you get to know a range of people with different stories to tell!

British nationals can enter Jamaica without a visa for up to 90 days, so long as your passport is valid for the duration of your stay.

You should speak to your GP or travel clinic before you travel in regards to any vaccinations you may need.
