You can choose to volunteer at EITHER our teaching or our childcare project while you are in Bali. On the first volunteering day you will be escorted to your teaching or childcare placement by a local member of staff. The volunteer programme ends on a Saturday.

Please note: Childcare volunteering does not run during June, July, August, and December. You will automatically be placed with the teaching project during these months.

Volunteering will take place from Monday-Friday, with free days at the weekend. A typical volunteer day looks something like this:

8.00am: Breakfast at the volunteer house
9.00am: 1-2 hours planning and lesson preparation time (teaching project) or 3 hours volunteering (childcare project)
12.00pm: Lunch
2.00-5.00 pm: 3 hours volunteering (at teaching project) or 1-2 hours planning and prep (childcare project)
5.00pm: End of your working day. Volunteers are free to visit local sites or go shopping.
6.00pm: Dinner at the volunteer house.

Please note that volunteer hours may vary. If you wish to add in more volunteering hours, please speak to the local Bali team during your stay.

1 week Yoga Add-On Experience

Yoga sessions run for around 4-5 hours a day, between 6-8am and 4-6pm and the rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the local area. Varied experience levels are catered for.

Please call us to book the Yoga add-on.

Dates & booking
Please note that there are religious holidays in Bali in early April, late June and early November 2017. During these periods alternative volunteering activities will be arranged instead of working with the children, such as community and renovation work. There are also occasional festival days throughout the year which will affect school opening. 2018 religious and festival dates will be released in due course, and will likely cover similar date ranges. Childcare volunteering does not run during June, July, August, and December. You will automatically be placed with the teaching project during these months.
