Bali Intro (12 days)
Explore the best of Bali on this fantastic 12-day trip. Starting in the party town of Kuta, you’ll journey along the coast, stopping at beautiful temples and gorgeous beach locations on the way. You’ll witness stunning sunsets, chill out on golden sands, learn to surf, bathe beneath waterfalls, wander through rice paddies, and jet across the sparkling sea to spot dolphins – and that’s just in the first few days!
Next up, you’ll spend the night at a local homestay and learn traditional skills such as Balinese basket weaving. You’ll then transfer to the unspoilt Gili Islands and enjoy cycling, snorkelling and party nights galore! Your trip rounds off with 3 days on Ubud, where you’ll hand-feed wild monkeys, eat breakfast at sunrise on the slopes of a volcano, and relax with a traditional Indonesian massage. Does life get any better than this?
Your Bali Intro highlights include:
- Surf lesson in Canggu
- Dolphin spotting boat trip
- Basket weaving skills at a local village
- Sail around the Gili Islands
- Visit Ubud’s Monkey Forest nature reserve and temple complex
- A sunrise volcano trek & traditional massage
- & more!
Please note: Transport between Ubud and Lombok is not included.
Please note: Depending on your start date there may be days between the end of the Bali Intro and the start of your Komodo Island Hopping programme. This is a great opportunity for some solo travel adventures! Please speak to a travel advisor for more information.
Komodo Island Hopper (9 days)
Get away from the tourist track on this fantastic 9-day tour in Indonesia. Explore remote islands and untouched beaches that are only just being discovered by western travellers, and gain a unique insight into local ways of life.
Starting in laidback Lombok, you'll spend time soaking up the sunshine and visiting a Sasak village to find out more about the local community. From Lombok, you’ll travel to serene Sumbawa and Moyo Island and then take to the waves on board your very own private boat. Enjoy three days of sailing, snorkelling and sleeping at sea, and see manta rays and komodo dragons up close.
There are limited western amenities in this part of Indonesia and few restaurants or backpacker bars, so this is a truly off-the-beaten track experience. Often, your tour group will be the only tourists on the islands – an amazing privilege!
Your Komodo Island Hopping highlights include:
- A Sasak village experience: learn traditional weaving
- A tour of unspoilt Moyo Island with a local guide
- 3-day live-aboard boat trip
- Swim with Manta Rays
- See Komodo Dragons
- Wander the pink sands of Pink Beach
- & more!

Your trip will finish on day 12 in the town of Ubud. A return airport transfer is not included but your guide can help arrange this for you and the journey takes apporoximately 1.5 hours.
Komodo Island Hopping
You will need to make your own way from Ubud in Bali to Lombok Airport on the neighbouring island of Lombok. There are both ferry and flight options but usually the flight is cheaper so we recommend you fly from Denpasar Airport in Bali to Lombok Airport in Lombok. You will be collected from Lombok airport on your start date. We can also help you arrange extra nights and an early transfer up to 2 days before this trip starts.
Your tour ends on day 9 on the island of Flores, the nearest airport is Labuan Bajo, which is around 20 minutes' drive from your accommodation. A return airport transfer is not included but your guide can help arrange this for you, and you can depart at any time.

This trip requires you to show evidence that you have been fulled vaccinated against covid-19 (final dose administered a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the trip).
This trip is designed with your safety and wellbeing in mind. As a result of Covid-19, many of our suppliers and partners around the world are introducing new policies and procedures surrounding health and safety in response to the Coronavirus outbreak. As the state of travel is evolving these new safety measures will adapt over time, and will be different for each trip. Here are some of the changes you may see on your trip:
Arrival safety meetings
Most trips have an arrival meeting on the first day where the guide or local team will run through the trip, the safety protocols, and to answer any questions you may have. Now more than ever it is important you arrive in time for these meetings.
Proof of vaccination or negative covid test
For the safety of all travellers, at the start of some trips you may be required to show evidence that you are fully vaccinated (14 days after your second dose) and/or show evidence of a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of the tour start date in order to join the programme.
Updated hygiene and safety procedures
Our suppliers and partners have health and safety procedures in place on all of our trips. These protocols will be updated and adapted as a response to the Coronavirus outbreak, dependent on local restrictions and laws.
Transport and accommodation choices
Our suppliers and partners choose the accommodation and transport on our trips very carefully, and you may see a change to what would normally be used as a response to the outbreak. This may involve such changes as enhanced use of private transport or quieter accommodation.
Trained and knowledgeable staff
Our staff in the UK are trained to help you with your trip before you depart and answer any questions you may have. In addition, the local team and guides on our trips are there to help with any health and safety concerns and to ensure our trips run safely and smoothly.
Reduced group sizes
Some trips will run with reduced group sizes to start with. You may find that trips are more intimate and chilled, whilst still being packed with fun and adventure.
Your guide or the local team will be on hand to help you seek medical attention should you require it during your trip. As medical facilities and standards can vary around the world, you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place before you depart to cover you for any medical emergencies.
24/7 emergency support
We operate an emergency phone line for our travellers abroad. This is operated by a UK based member of staff 24/7 if you have a genuine emergency or urgent matter that you need attending.
It is important that you take measures to make travelling safer for yourself and others around you. Ensure you frequently wash your hands, cover your face when you sneeze and cough, bring and use your own hand sanitiser and facial coverings/masks, and enable social distancing where necessary. You should also ensure you listen to the instructions and guidance of the local team at all times, and follow all local laws and restrictions.
